Tips for coloring butterflies
- Butterfly wings are symmetrical — color one spot on the left wing, then the matching spot on the right, so both sides stay the same.
- Use bright opposite colors next to each other, like orange and blue or yellow and purple, to make the wings glow.
- Try the life cycle page as a science lesson: label the egg, caterpillar, chrysalis and butterfly after coloring.
- Cut out finished butterflies, fold them down the middle and hang them on a string for a fluttering garland.
